ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Part of the exhibition “LOSING TOXIC PEOPLE IS A WIN”, OMG ITS FUCKING MONDAY by Mateusz von Motz brings mirror and painted text into dialogue, placing the viewer’s reflection alongside an expression of everyday frustration. Within the exhibition’s exploration of roles, habits, and recurring patterns, the title can be read as a familiar script: a reaction repeated until it becomes part of how we experience our lives. The mirror returns us to the present, showing the body, light, and surroundings as they are now. The encounter invites a question: how much of what we feel belongs to this moment, and how much comes from a pattern we have learned to repeat?
