Description

ABOUT THE OBJECT
ACH-101 by Daniel Mencel brings together architectural clarity and traditional craftsmanship. Its angled solid wood frame supports a woven paper cord seat and backrest, while elongated armrests define the silhouette. Oak and American walnut create a subtle contrast of tone and grain, finished with oil to reveal their natural character. Conceived, developed, and produced entirely in the designer’s workshop in Poland, the armchair is released in a limited edition of 12. Every hand-cut joint reflects a considered approach to construction. An autonomous object within architectural space, made to last.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Daniel Mencel is a furniture designer and maker working at the intersection of craftsmanship and architectural thinking. His practice approaches furniture as autonomous objects within architectural space, with each piece conceived, developed, and produced entirely in his own workshop. Working with traceable solid hardwoods, hand-cut joints, and hand-finished textures, he maintains full control over form, material, and construction. Released exclusively in limited series, his objects follow a clear principle: no trends, no mass production, no unnecessary gestures. Only objects made to last.

We source fine textiles exclusively from Italy and France and create enduring products. Our commitment is evident through our choice of materials like organic cotton, viscose, silk, and wool.

Our timeless collections reduce overproduction and encourage responsible consumption. The seasonless approach helps to harmonise demand and production levels.

The brand ensures a positive workplace with fair wages, health benefits, and paid leave. In our daily operations, we minimise and re-use internal packaging and the use of plastics.

We only work with European manufacturers known for top notch quality and craftsmanship. We monitor our production partners closely to guarantee excellent working conditions.

We do not use fur and exotic skins in our products.

Our upcycling initiative combats waste by creatively repurposing surplus men's apparel from our partner brands into innovative women's fashion pieces, thereby giving these garments a second life and reducing environmental impact.
